She has been teaching at the Royal Academy since 2009 and gives concerts at home and abroad.


Bolette is constantly searching to expand the recorder repertoire and works with many different instrument combinations and styles, including innovative co-operation with pianist Carsten Dahl and DJ Katrine Ring.


Bolette’s repertoire ranges from medieval to contemporary music and naturally involves improvisation, folk and world music. She can be seen performing in the unique ensembles: Alpha, Gáman and Lune Rousse.

Alpha was a prize winner at the Danish State Radio’s Chamber Music Competition in 2006 and was a finalist in the Concert Artist Guild Competition in 2008 and in the Terem Crossover Competition in 2010. Alpha was nominated for the Nordic Council Music Prize in 2009.


Bolette has been a soloist with the Concerto Copenhagen, Arte Dei Suonatori, the Radio Entertainment Orchestra, the Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Danish Orchestra. Bolette has previously won a major scholarship from the Jacob Gade Foundation. Danish State Radio nominated her for the DR artist of the year 2005. She is nominated for the Nordic Council Music Prize 2011.


Bolette appears on recordings with Alpha (Dacapo, Gateway), Concerto Copenhagen (cpo) and Paradox (BIS-CD).
