• Copenhagen Baroque Festival – October the 14th will be the opening of the 2020 Copenhagen Baroque Festival! Two events are planned: “Mr. Handel and London” an Elephant House Quartet concert of selected works from the John Walsch publishing house, 17.30, more info. As well as a golden opportunity to meet the soloists from this year’s edition at 20.00. Present are Komalé Akakpo, psalterion (DE); Joachim Becerra Thomsen, flute (DK) & Paweł Zalejski, violin (PL), all will perform a short musical selection and discuss nuances that may have eluded the average listener, more info.
• Copenhagen Baroque Festival – Earlier in June, a pair of concerts remained from the original dates and are now available in their entirety on the DR P2 website. The June 19th concert offers the opportunity to hear two of this year’s soloists: flutist Joachim Becerra Thomsen and soprano Clara Cecilie Thomsen. Both accompanied by cellist/gambist Hanna Loftsdottir and harpsichordist Søren Christian Vestergaard. On Tuesday, June 23rd, a second concert featured Theatre of Voices performing early baroque works which culminated in a XXth century western. • Copenhagen Baroque Festival – While the festival has been moved to the fall, one concert will remain on Friday, June 19th at 4.30 pm. This afternoon concert offers the opportunity to hear two of this year’s soloists: flutist Joachim Becerra Thomsen and soprano Clara Cecilie Thomsen. Both accompanied by cellist/gambist Hanna Loftsdottir and harpsichordist Søren Christian Vestergaard in the beautiful surroundings of the Trinitatis Church in Copenhagen. Free admission, however seats will be limited due to the current social distancing precautions. More info.
