Duo O2
Recorder player Bolette Roed and flutist Poul Høxbro have performed together for more than 20 years, developing a close musical dialogue shaped by curiosity, playfulness, and virtuosity. Their programs move freely between music from the Middle Ages and the present day, exploring the rich colours created by combining different types of flutes.
With their program Air and Life, Duo O2 invites the audience on an inner journey where music reflects the emotions and moments we all experience throughout life — quiet reflection, everyday calm, joy, and wonder. Each work in the program is introduced by a short poetic reflection, allowing the listener to enter the music with their own thoughts and associations. Alongside duo works by composers such as Guillaume de Machaut, G. F. Telemann, and W. A. Mozart, the two musicians also perform selected solo pieces, expanding the program with new colours and musical perspectives.
